Tuesday, 16th  March, 2010
Three teams advanced to the doubles quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells on Monday, led by top seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic.
The Canadian-Serbian combination defeated the all-star American team comprising James Blake and Andy Roddick, 6-4, 3-6, 10-7, progressing to the last eight at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event.

Nestor is a four-time former champion in Indian Wells, albeit with Mark Knowles of the Bahamas (1997, 2002, 2005, 2006). He and Zimonjic teamed to reach the 2008 final, falling to Israeli duo Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram.

Nestor-Zimonjic will meet the winner of the third-round clash between Thomaz Bellucci - Pablo Cuevas and Frantisek Cermak - Michal Mertinak.

Meanwhile, No. 6 seeds Simon Aspelin and Paul Hanley booked their quarter-final spot with a 7-6(4) 6-3 win over Frenchmen Julien Benneteau and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

The Swedish-Australian team improved to 13-3 for 2010 with the win, having reached the finals of their last two events, Rotterdam (l. to Nestor-Zimonjic) and Dubai (d. Dlouhy-Paes).

Aspelin-Hanley will play the winner of the third-round meeting between Johan Brunstrom - Jean-Julien Rojer and Tomas Berdych - Philipp Kohlschreiber.

The third duo to reach the quarter-finals on Monday were Ivo Karlovic and Dusan Vemic of Croatia and Serbia, respectively. They defeated Spaniards David Ferrer and Albert Montanes, 6-3, 4-6, 12-10, and will play either Igor Andreev - Evgeny Korolev or John Isner - Sam Querrey for a place in the semi-finals.
